in memoriam: Marco Simoncelli
Kematian, seperti apapun datangnya, kepada siapapun, entah itu yang asing atau karib dengan kita tetap saja mendatangkan sebentuk rasa sesak sedih nan kehilangan. Pun ketika tetiba saja salah seorang pembalap MotoGP dari tim Honda Gresini, Marco Simoncelli, meninggal dalam kecelakaan di lintasan balap, hari Minggu lalu di balapan seri ke 17 di Malaysia. Akhirnya ajang balap MotoGP 2010 ini selesai juga. Seri terakhir (ke-18) di Valencia dimenangi oleh Jorge Lorenzo yang memang tampil hebat sepanjang musim dan berhak menyandang gelar juara dunia tahun ini, disusul Casey Stoner yang di musim depan akan membela Honda (sayang rekan setimnya, Nicky Hayden, jatuh dan tidak bisa menyelesaikan balapan), lalu diikuti oleh Valentino Rossi di posisi ke-3. Meski Rossi sebelumnya berjanji akan memenangkan balapan terakhirnya bersama Yamaha ini, setidaknya dia bisa naik podium. MotoGP race at Motegi Japan yesterday was the best race of the season so far. There was an epic battle between the Yamaha teammates Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo. The battle is won by Valentino Rossi. Though he only won the 3rd position, he made it like a victory!

A Moto 2 rider has died yesterday. Tomizawa was competing in the eleventh round of the inaugural Moto2 World Championship, the San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit on September 5, 2010. On lap 12, Tomizawa fell in Turn 11, a fast right-hand corner, when he was forced wide and lost grip in his rear tyre. He was then hit by the motorbikes of Scott Redding and Alex de Angelis in which he suffered cranial, thoracic and abdominal trauma. Read the rest of this entry »
